The
Michigan Transition Services Association is an organization whose goal
is to provide leadership, promote professional preparation and growth
and keep community partners aware of current issues and trends in
transition related issues for all students receiving special education
services.
Transitioning
students into adult life roles may involve many aspects: classroom
instruction, community experiences, assessment, career guidance,
linkages with other agencies, employment, and continuing
support. These are services that are provided to promote
movement from school to post-school activities for students.
Members
must maintain the highest standards of quality, integrity, and
efficiency in order to be effective. The Constitution and
By-Laws of the Michigan Transition Services Association are designed
to facilitate this process.
