SCHOLARSHIP
2003-2004

The Michigan Transition Services Association Scholarship was established in 2000. The association is interested in assisting students pursuing an education and career in the area of Special Education or Rehabilitation.

Scholarship awards are made at the discretion of the committee established by each regional representative based on MTSA board recommendations. All awards are made without regard to race, creed, color, sex, religion or national origin.

REQUIREMENTS:

Students must be enrolled in an accredited college either Junior/Senior level of undergraduate school or a graduate program.  The program must be in an area of Special Education or Rehabilitation.

Students must complete the application and return it to the scholarship chairperson or regional rep by December 11, 2003.

Regional representatives will establish a committee to review the applications and select a recipient.

Grant recipients will be notified after  January 19, 2004.

Single grants of $500  will be awarded to one person from each region.

Recipients will be invited to attend the Spring MTSA Conference with registration and lodging paid by the region and the association.

MTSA treasurer will disburse funds to individual recipients at the conference.
